Session Details:

Phil Schaap suggests, based on his own listening and conversations with Basie members, that this might be Eddie Durham on guitar. The session tag remains Freddie Green because it is very difficult to corroborate a style on rhythm guitar from this period without many examples. It would be worth researching samples of Durham on rhythm guitar and compare to the many instances of Freddie Green. Where Durham solos with Basie or his breakout groups, it seems Green is often on rhythm guitar in any case. - TS
