Session Details:

Even though most sources list the tracks individually, Sutherland notes that the three tracks are played nearly continuously "like a medley". At the same time, since even Burton goes through the trouble of listing each song individually, we will do the same. However, although he has Bird only on track 3, in the notes he implies that Bird plays the last few notes of Body and Soul, and then leads it into Cherokee. Burton also disagrees with sources and the Philology CD that state a track of Ornithology exists from this session. He has listened to it and believes strongly that it occurred on a different session, possibly some time in 1949. Thus, we have not included it here. -JS
