Session Details:

"Abdul Hamid" is listed as a trombone player. With a little research, we find that that is the Muslim name of Kenny Dorham who, of course, is a trumpeter and one who played with Hampton's orchestra during this period of history. On the one hand, we can't find much biographical information on a trombone player named Abdul Hamid, but that doesn't mean, per se, that it's an error. There could have been two guys with that name, especially playing different instruments. Any tips would be appreciated. -JS
