Neither The John Coltrane Reference book nor Lord Discography notes on which tracks Coltrane plays the tenor and on which he plays the soprano.

Both sources note that there are two versions of "Alabama" on various copies of Impulse. One is take 4 (the fading out track) plus take 5 (complete), which come together to form a 5:05 track. The other version is take 5 ONLY (complete 2:23).
