The John Coltrane Reference book provides a lot of specificity that is otherwise missing in Lord. Whereas Lord notes that Coltrane is on both tenor and soprano, the book source specifies which of these two instruments is played on each track. Dolphy is on both alto saxophone and flute, and both sources specify what he plays on each track.
The book source specifies that this session was technically two separate concerts, the first at 6:30pm, and the second at 11:30pm. These were private recordings that were also radio broadcasts. The information from the book source is derived from a radio master tape (which was provided by a Michel Delorme).
The announcer, Norman Granz, speaks before the start of each concert -- which is why there are two announcements in this session (because there were two separate concerts, each of which had an introduction).
