Session Details:

The John Coltrane Reference book specifies on which track Coltrane plays the tenor and on which he plays the soprano, whereas Lord only notes that Coltrane plays both instruments but does not provide any specificity. Most of the track playtimes are known, but there are some that are unknown/unavailable in both the book source and Lord. For the tracks for which playtimes were unavailable, information on which instrument (tenor or soprano) Coltrane played is also unavailable.

The book source notes that this session is a combination of tracks from two concerts that took place, one at 6:00pm and the other at midnight. The book source retrieved its information from radio master tapes, as this was a radio broadcast in Paris. There is also a private recording of the broadcast, that was supplied to the book source by Mitsuo Johfu.
