Note: This session has previously been listed in disographies as taking place on April 1, 1959. However, documentationr ecently discovered at Atlantic reveals that  it actually took place on March 26, 1959.

Lord lists the associated tracks as being a part of an April 1 session [C7488] http://www.lordisco.com/tjd/MusicianDetail?mid=2505

The reference book lists tracks 12 and 14 as being "warm-ups". Not sure what is meant to differentiate that from an alternate, or breakdown (in the case of #12 it's clearly also a false start), but jdisc doesn't have a 'warmup' category for takes, so we are considering it an alternate take. The reference book does indicate "b" for "bass", etc for each 'warmup', but listening to the tracks indicate more than those instruments listed play (it's complete band) so this is perhaps just a 'helpful' indication as to the purpose of this alternate take: it was a warmup for that instrument, even though the full band plays.  The CD box set "Complete Atlantic Recordings" differentiates between Rehearsals and takes, but for our purposes, they are all takes--some are complete some are not, some breakdown, some are false starts. -JS
