The John Coltrane Reference book notes on which tracks Coltrane plays the tenor and on which he plays the soprano. Lord simply notes that Coltrane played both during this session, but does not provide any specificity. Coltrane plays soprano on "Chim Chim Cheree" and tenor on "Impressions."

This was a live performance at the Half Note in New York City, it was broadcast live by WABC-FM radio as part of the show "Portraits in Jazz," hosted by Alan Grant.
