Session Details:

The John Coltrane Reference book notes on which tracks Coltrane plays the tenor and on which he plays the soprano. Lord simply notes that Coltrane played both during this session, but does not provide any specificity.

The book source notes that the concert ran from midnight to 1:30am. It was a radio broadcast, the Symphony Sid Show, WADO 1280-AM. The information for this session was retrieved through a private recording that was provided by Boris Rose.

The book source also notes that the third "Untitled Original" track is titled as "One Up and One Down" on most issues, but that this does not seem to be Coltrane's title for the track, which is unknown. The book source further notes that this is a different composition from "One Up and One Down" and is the only known performance of this composition.
