Session Details:

This is the "Suite: A Love Supreme" -- for this session, Coltrane's vocals are overdubbed onto the recordings from the December 9, 1964 session. The vocal overdubs are given their own session because this is how it is indicated in both sources (Lord as well as the John Coltrane Reference book); the tracks were actually overdubbed on a different date (although it was the very next day).

The John Coltrane Reference book provides an extensive record of all takes -- false starts, breakdowns, and fragments for each title. Lord only provides the main master takes for this session. In the interest of inclusivity, we have used the John Coltrane Reference book to represent this session.
