Session Details:

the Wardell Gray discography and Tom Lord discography disagree on dates and personnel. Lord lists Bill Green on sax, but the WG discography doesn't list him at all. WG discography lists Frede Richardson as the probable vocalist on one track, whereas Lord lists no one at all.  A previous version of this session in j-disc mentioned that Bill Green may also play flute inthe session, but neither of those sources indicate that is true. While Lord lists the dates as being 1946, the WG discography provides some evidence that this is incorrect. Also, Lord lists incorrect matrix numbers for the 1st and 4th tracks. Track-times can be found in Allmusic except for the final track which we cannot find on the internet. Googling "Frede Richardson", allegedly the vocalist according to the WG discography similarly brings no results. -JS
