Session Details:

According to Burton's discography, some sources (including jazzdisco.org) list tracks 3-7 as being from a December 2nd session. He has evidence that this is incorrect, and along with Sutherland have them all in this single session. -JS

Also, Sutherland, Jazzdisco & Burton all call the trombonist "Joe Taswell Baird". Searching for biographical information on this musician, I found Taswell Baird, a trombone player who was often referred to as "Little Joe". I'm assuming this is the same as who the sources list as playing here, but for whatever reason is referred to not as "Little Joe" or Taswell Baird, but Joe Taswell Baird. Similarly, Sutherland and Burton misspell "Mabane" as "Manbane". -JS
