Session Details:

Lord lists two different tracks of "Kige's Tune" as being recorded at this session, but Bruyininckx, Jazzdisco.org and Alan Saul (who has a comprehensive discography of Eric Dolphy, who appears in this session) does not list that song as being recorded in this session. Moreover, Lord does not address this discrepancy, nor list where he gets the differing information. A cursory search, however, shows a re-issue of the other tracks, with bonus tracks that include Kige's Tune, but I do not find evidence that those tracks were part of the original session, per se, except from Lord.

Eric Dolphy plays on all the tracks, but he switches between Bass Clarinet and Alto Sax, so I indicate him individually on the respective tracks and on the main listing. Listening would confirm this, of course, but while all three sources list Dolphy as playing alto sax on 'Round Midnight, the same re-issue that includes Kige's tune extols Dolphy's "great bass clarinet solo on Round Midnight". http://www2.concordmusicgroup.com/albums/Ezz-Thetics-Keepnews-Collection/

Lord doesn't list which instrument Dolphy is playing on "Ezz-thetic" and "Lydiot." Alan Saul makes the distrinction. http://adale.org/Discographies/PrimeNY.html
