CJ Hazevoet lists this as a Live Recording, not necessarily a performance for an audience. This is a puzzling session, as Lord and Bruyninckx have Byas on a session with nearly identical personnel, but at a different venue and playing different tracks. Hazavoet addresses this discrepancy where the others do not: "'Don's Blues' on Esoludun-INA FCD 101 is an identical repeat of 'Bags Groove'. Other titles (without Byas) are features for Smith (I Can't Get Started), Webster (Blue Turning Grey Over You [repeated as Cherry (which is how Lord titles it)], Sweet Lorraine) and Eldridge (Une Petite Laitute) Bruyninckx and Lord, however, list Byas as playing on these tracks, where Hazevoet does not. Since Hazevoet at least is aware of this discrepancy, I lean towards his analysis of the subject, especially since Bruyninckx and Lord list the rhythm section as "unidentified" while Hazevoet identifies them as Jimmy Woode & Kenny Clarke. -JS
