Session Details:

This was an aircheck.

Hazevoet notes that: Don Byas opened at Three Deuces on February 10, 1945. He was there throughout the month of March, and from April 26 to August 4, 1945. Hazevoet continues to note that the personnel that played with Byas changed frequently. Rhythm sections included pianist Clyde Hart, Deryck Sampson, and Erroll Garner, bassists Ted Sturgis and Al Lucas, and drummers Cliff Leemann and Harold West, among others. In this particular session, the clarinet player is "possibly" Ernie Caceres, but this cannot be said with absolute certainty.
