Session Details:

This is another session where between multiple sources, no single tracklist appears constant. Fitzgerald's Kenny Barron discography only lists "Muhammad Ali" as a track for this session; Bruyninckx lists multiple sessions led by Diz on this same date and location--obviously, because it was during the festival, this reflects Dizzy joining live sets with a variety of musicians--but still only attributes Muhammad Ali to the quintet, while Lord lists a much longer list of tracks. We found a website called "concert vault" that has the tracktimes and full tracklist, as well as some liner notes that describe the other tracks besides Muhammad Ali. This adds to the mystery as to why Fitzgerald omitted all the other tracks, when it was so commonly cited that Barron played on all of them. If he disagreed with that, why wouldn't that be listed in the notes? -JS
