Session Details:

Jazzdisco.org doesn't specify which tunes the guys sing on, but Noal Cohen and Bruyninckx both do. Bruyninckx has date as February 6, jazzdisco has it as 7th, and Cohen has both. I'm wondering if this is a case where the session began in the evening on the 6th, and carried into the morning, as has happened before?

Also, there are multiple title mixups. Look at the googlebooks copy of Lawrence Koch's book, "Yardbird Suite: A compendium of the life and music of Charlie Parker" for more info, but mainly it's that the song labeled "Dynamo" is what is now commonly known as "Dizzy Atmosphere". But even then, there's some mixups where apparently Bird played the head to "Diggin' Diz" (aka Diggin' For Diz) but called it Dynamo. And in various issues of this session, names get switched around.

Cohen notes that there were more alternate takes of Confirmation, Diggin' for Diz and When I Grow Too Old to Dream. He doesn't list any, and says they are most likely lost. However, Bruyninckx does list one alt take for "When I Grow Too Old...", so we have included that here.

Also, the two "Dynamo" takes are listed simply as "A" and "B", with no indication as to a master or an alternate, so we have replicated that naming device here. -JS
