Session Details:

As with the March 24, 1937, only Lubbers of all our sources includes this live broadcast, which is also known to have been recorded or aired but missing.

While Basie, with Holiday on vocals, was clearly broadcasting around this time, based on the June 30 session that Lord and Varela do include, we are left to wonder how the personnel for the present session entry are known by Lubber's source, one Theo Kuijpers, whereas the March 24 ones are not. Perhaps they are assumed to be identical to the very closely dated June 30 session, also from the Savoy Ballroom

Harlem (New York City), M.B.C. (WOR Mutual) broadcast direct from the Savoy Ballroom, 596 Lenox Ave., between West 140th/141th street
