Session Details:

Plosin has two separate entries for this session, one for the quintet and one for the other musicians that join them for the final two songs. By our standards of what makes a session, though, that would be inaccurate. It was a) part of the same broadcast/event and hosted by the same MC, and b) still contains the leader, Charlie Parker as the leader in both instances.  Unclear if this is an omission or a discrepancy, but Sutherland and Burton specify that while Dorham lays out the big band tracks, Shelly Manne, Joe Harris and Ed Shaughnessy all play drums together, while Losin implies that only Al Haig joins Charlie parker with the big band. -JS
