Session Details:

This performance is only listed on the Cecil Taylor Research Group source. There is some information that we know about the tracks, we know the lengths played and the title of the first track. There are two listed tracks. The source refers to the first track as "fragments of a dedication to Duke Ellington," which is 55:27 in length, but it also writes that this track is also titled "Unit Structures." The second track is referred to only as "fragments" with 50:00 in length. Only the first 55:27 was broadcast, the second track, 50:00, was recorded by Swedish Radio Broadcast but never broadcasted, however it is on a private tape. The Research Group derives its information from Rick Lopez's Sam Rivers discography, a broadcast CD-R, and Jan Strom's Jimmy Lyons sessionography.
