Session Details:

Live performance at Cafe Musart (149 Spring St.). The specific tracks are unknown but a privately taped audience recording of the  performance exists. There are two performances that are recorded and noted to take place with this same quartet, one lists the location as "Spring Street Restaurant" and having taken place on December 23, 1973 and the other as having taken place on December 28, 1973 at Cafe Musart which is located on Spring Street! The Cecil Taylor Research Group notes this discrepancy, and suggests that perhaps it may be the same performance. The Group source writes that because both of the (assumed to be separate) performances have a private tape/audience recording of the performance, the tapes should be analyzed to figure this out. The first assumed performance on the 23rd lists the "Improvized" track to run 92:00 and the assumed second, separate performance on the 28th lists the track to run for a length of 114:00. The December 23rd date is listed in Ed Hazell's unpublished Cecil Taylor discography.
