A commercially released or widely disseminated playable recorded output of a Session or Sessions that is packaged or distributed as a single object, whether physical or digital. Tracks within a given issue are linked to the relevant Session in which the track was recorded. The J-DISC publishers have decided that, since many aspects of production are undertaken after the date of the recorded performance itself, we designate those a an attribute of an “issue,” because it is generally assumed to be done by the label to ready the recording for release rather than of the improvised performance (though the original recording artist may be involved, especially in editing). Hence “remix,” “remastering,” “overdubbing”  are all considered part of the Issue, for example.
